As promised, here is Dr. Shay Fabbro, with coverage of GalaxyFest, day 2:

Star date 2-25-2012

Today started very early for Mark and I...awake at 5:45 am, leave Denver by a quarter to six. Had to be in Colorado Springs by 8 am for the meet and greet with authors and people who purchased the gold pass for the weekend convention. While at the meet and greet, I had the opportunity to chat with authors Kevin J. Anderson and his wife Rebecca Moesta.

I admit, I was totally hyper today from the moment I woke up. Today was the day I was hoping to meet Denise Crosby. When she arrived in the ball room, I admit I was a little varklempt. I grabbed my phone, hoping she would be gracious enough to take a photo with me. I was pretty bummed when she told me that she couldn't do any pictures other than the paid ones through the photography company.

Well, I didn't let that stop me! I happily paid the $30 and waited in line to take my picture with her. And the really cool thing? I got to pick out a background for us :D After careful consideration, I chose the one with Devil's Tower. I thought it was pretty awesome and seemed appropriate (since they didn't have a picture of the Enterprise)

So I have a little story to tell about Denise Crosby...The Con is having people bid for an hour with the various celebrity guests and the money is going for the Children's Literacy Foundation. Well, I put in a bid and was super stoked when I was the high one. Squeeeeee!!!! Imagine my utter disappointment when someone else outbid me. I didn't worry though; I've been on eBay. I can play this betting game *cracks knuckles*

Well, unfortunately, I couldn't afford to go any higher in price so I had to admit defeat. I was kinda bummed but decided not to let it bother me. Well, as luck would have it, the same young man that outbid me stopped by my table! HA! What are the odds. right? Anyway, Travis is a fantastic person and totally awesome (as is his wife).

The day is ending on a rather high note. Sold ten books, which to me is awesome! I'm not a big author so these people are really taking a chance buying books from an unknown writer. If any of you read this: THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts!
